A picture is worth a thousand words ![]() An experience that changed my life was my car accident. It happened when I was just 17-years-old. My father noted it this way "When we went into his room and saw him laying unconscious on a bed rotating from left-to-right, right-to-left with pins in his head and weights hanging down to stretch his neck (where he had some broken vertebras), it was a terrible sight for us to see. He stayed unconscious for a number of days, slowly coming out, and going through the different stages that people with head injuries go through." That was the beginning of an experience that changed my life for the better because now I have a family I cherish in a life that was nearly cut way too short. After a two-week coma, I awoke from my dreary sleep and spent two-and-a-half months in the hospital and subsequent rehabilitation center. Though not expected, I graduated from school, served in a foreign country learning its language, earned a college degree, married and with my wife reared a beautiful family of six children. We now have 11 grandchildren.
I thank God daily for seeing me through this ordeal when I was young and for countless other divine interventions in my life.
