<tributes to mount rushmore
Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a massive sculpture carved into Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. Each of the faces are as much as 60 feet high, and they depict U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Stunning!

The memorial took 14 years to complete. We saw it in just three days.
Mount Rushmore itinerary Day 1 - Tue, Aug 31 .. Caught DELTA 3846 flight to Rapid City MO and stayed the first night in Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Rapid City South Dakota. Day 2 - Wed, Sep 1 .. Spent the first full day of our Mt Rushmore trip in Wyoming at Devils Tower. We travelled to Deadwood and stayed at Cedar Wood Inn. Devils Tower and the Badlands were incredible. Day 3 - Thu, Sep 2 .. Headed to the Quality Inn Near Mount Rushmore and visited Mt Rushmore early in the morning (wild life, fewer crowds). The train ride from Keystone to Hill City was fun and picturesque. We ate at a Mexican restaurant in Keystone before the Mt Rushmore evening show. Day 4 - Fri, Sep 3 .. After another night stay at Quality Inn Near Mount Rushmore, we did more Mt Rushmore, Blackhills, Needles Highway, SD-87 and a Custer State Park drive including tunnels, wildlife including eagles, hawks, antelope, deer, buffalo, and memorable landscapes. Day 5 - Fri, Sep 4 .. Head back to Rapid City to catch DELTA 3710 flight at 8:05am which ws expected to arrive in Salt Lake City UT at 10:04am. Thanks to Robyn and Levi for helping us with our Mt Rushmore itinerary.
