VIDEO MEMOIRS

I am so grateful for my dad. We think so differently in many ways but there's a mutual love and respect within our relationship and  conversations — I always feel safe voicing my thoughts with him. I can tell he values my opinions, even when they don't align with his. We can talk hours into the night, laughing, debating, occasionally arguing but always ending with a hug and positive words to me, over the last few months especially, how rare and special our relationship is.

This hike was a little over a year ago and one of my favorite memories ever with my dad. He had already hiked this steep trail earlier that day before I had arrived. I know my dad so I can pretty confidently say that he didn't want to hike it again, but he knew I did. So he insisted and honestly, I could barely keep up. I had such a great time chatting up the mountain, just us two.

There is no one more fun to play board games and have movie nights than you, dad. Thanks for casually driving me past cute, old, random houses that "made you think of me." You go all out in everything that you do and it's one of my favorite things about you @stuckim. That, and how special and funny you make me feel every time we talk. I love you!
