RECOUP DAY

Every few days it seems like we need a recoup day, and that day was today. We stayed around our home base today so the kids could all nap well and we could catch up on a few things. Days like today don’t usually end up being very restful, but they are productive. We are leaving this campground tomorrow so it was great timing to have a day to prepare. The kids have been waking up really early again (just like at home.) So Fitz and Enzo were both napping by 11:00 am this morning (nap 2 for Enzo.) Ozzy worked on pages from his workbook and when he was done I took him to the pool. He is getting so confident in the water and swimming like a fish! He absolutely loves it and is doing so well! When Fitz and Enzo woke up, Nick brought them to the pool also and we all had a fun swim together. Then it was time to head back for lunch. Ozzy and Fitz rode their bikes and stayed busy playing after that. I started a few loads of laundry with Fitzy and then Nick took the boys to the campground store for ice. They came back with ice cream. It was such a hot day so after getting ice cream, we spent a lot of our time at the water park and splash pad. After that when Nick joined us again we rode the merry-go-round (a few times), elephant ride (a few times), train ride, maze, and saw the animals in the exhibits. By the end of |
all of that the kids were exhausted. We drove back to our home base, made breakfast-for-dinner, had showers, and went to bed.
*This campground is a little bit further away from the beach, but we have had the whole tent area to ourselves pretty much all week which has been really nice. Lots of space to ride bikes and run around. We are also kind of by a pavilion which hosts dance parties, bingo night, and karaoke throughout the week.
*Every night Fitz has been looking for the moon. When he finds he he says “Moon too high mama. Need a ladder!” Referring too touching the moon. It’s pretty cute.
