3/26/22 - Anna Maria Island, FL
We started the day as usual with breakfast and then Nick took the boys on a pretty long bike ride. When they got back we headed out for the day. Before going anywhere we had to track down a pharmacy that had insulin in stock and add that to our route. Nick called like three places before finding one that had some in stock. Kind of stressful! Then the insurance and coupon codes we use back home didn’t work here so we had to pay quite a bit for one vial. We’ll just have to deal with that later. After that was worked out we headed towards Anna Maria Island. It was a cute place with a charming and laid back vibe. We spent our time on AMI at Holmes Beach. Sand castle building, kite flying, and bird chasing. It would have been fun to spend more time there to see the rest of town, but we had to head home after a few hours on the beach. We had a bit of traffic both ways. We ended up eating peanut butter and jellies and other food in the van on our drive. When we got back we all showered and went to bed pretty soon after. |
