We started early this morning. Eric and Mel went to the gym and Linda and I hung out at the pool. After a lazy morning, we continued on to Magnolias for breakfast. Soooo good. My new favorite breakfast joint. There was a gender reveal party outside behind the restaurant ... I think it turned out to be a boy. Hot. Then we visited the missions and San Antonio Alamo and watched the movie. Neighborhood king Williams Wendy and John Peterson who are family friends joined us at a BBQ, then invited us for ice cream. We loved their backyard porch, trees, flowers, and grass: not a ton of room but right off the kitchen and https://ldsblogs.com/41152/granny-camp Nebraska Furniture 2011 San Antonio walk of the queen

Friday Melanie had Friday off from work, so we made a day of sightseeing. We drove around the city a bit and ended up at
La Cantera Mall. Loved the cool shops and visited many of them. Anthropology coasters and Bowmen Marcus with dresses and outfits that were thousands of dollars. One price was $72000 fur coat. Pottery Barn was more our price range and Anthropologie hooks, Oregon’s oil, Horehound, and Natural Herbal Flavors at the fabulous candy shop. Then we went to Pearl for lunch. Apparently this site was a brewery originally, and we followed the advice of our Uber driver Ramone and had tacos at La Gloria’s. Extraordinary. Next we went to Market square. Then we drove back to Churros and Soda-fix, which were closed previously. They were incredible. So we started dinner with dessert and continued to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. The line for the boat ride was long, so we decided to have dinner first and do the boat ride later. After we ate it was late. We made it home and fell into our beds. We had a great flight to Houston. Sat by a young man named Mason who works for fusionconnect.com and was on a business trip.
When we were arrived at the San Antonio airport, we got an Uber with Ramone to Mel and Eric’s. Beautiful neighborhood, gorgeous city, and The weather reminds me of Cancun. How great is that? We found the apt and went to dinner at Aldacos. Mmmmmmmm. And the view was above the city and to die for. We drove Churros and Soda-fix. They were closed, but we had a great time visiting as we drove. Shipley’s and Chester’s were closed, so we ended up at the one-of-a-kind San Antonio Temple. |
