​Melanie and crew went with Linda and me to Scottsdale Arizona for a little getaway. Our visit included fun, food, flowers, and frills. We have a favorite place we love to visit. Made plans to check out the city and stay in the lap of luxury a few days. 

Next time maybe we will go here for a wonderful week. Golfers love it. Food connoisseurs too. Sounds like my kind of place.

The temperatures in Scottsdale are 100+ even as early as May. We found a myriad of ways to cool off. Air conditioner, shade,  and frozen treats—but our favorite was to hit the pool. And we did that often throughout the day, walking distance from all.

I believe traveling makes the world a better place. Through exploration and discovery, I have learned that travel brings cultures together that eagerly shares a spirit of excitement and rapture with its participants. It certainly does that for us.

Eric was our chauffeur to town. We saw a ton of new places and Mel contributed to our agenda. Check out our Scottsdale album to see a few of our favorite pics. Evie was an angel the whole time on or trip to paradise; we are absolutely in heaven.

Despite COVID restrictions impacting the breakfast and dinner accommodations, the facility pressed on at considerable inconvenience to provide individually prepared and packaged meals to the guests. Daily housekeeping and activities were impacted as well, but the concierge ensured us that if we needed anything (anything at all), we could just call facilities and they would be happy to accommodate us. We had delightful stay and visited the city and famous desert cactus ​Saguaro.

Rehab Burger is a relaxed restaurant, busy from the moment we set foot in the establishment. With a beach theme, it features an expansive menu of creative burgers. Evie braved the sweltering heat. Mel and Eric made our stay a delight--they all did. Essentially, rehab was what this little getaway was all about, and it came through with flying colors. We are renewed.

A thousand years in not enough; an eternity is too little. We were made now for each other, forever is still not long enough. Be brave dear. We don't have to stand alone anymore. I have lived everyday for you. Together. I'll love you a thousand more.
