Dan Benson and I threw all caution to the wind to tackle Skyline Drive. This scenic backway is a mountain road that follows the spine of the Wasatch Plateau for more than 100 miles. The road begins near Tucker, along highway 6, and ends at I-70. Skyline Drive winds along the very top of the Wasatch Plateau, providing access to forested mountains, alpine meadows and numerous lakes, streams, and camping areas. At elevations ranging from about 9,000 to 11,000 feet above sea level, it is one of the highest roads in America. Spectacular views of mountain basins and surrounding valleys appear on this 100-mile trek.
