Bird lover and former pilot for the USAF, Elwood was a unique man. He was soft spoken and loved beautiful things. This sensitivity overflowed into everything he did. My children remember him as a kind and thoughtful person who was good-natured and frequently shared his happiness with others. Knowing Elwood was a privilege and joy in my life. He married and worked most of his adult life in New York City but spent his final years in Utah living with his sister Elaine Mann. That's when we got to know and associate with him.
