what fun is

Again this year, Icon sponsored a day at Lagoon for all its employees' families, and thanks to Amy and Chantelle, we were all able to go together as a family. Good food, family, friends, and fun were the order for the evening. We had a party of ten in addition to sidekicks Amy and Nate, Chantelle and Bryce whom we saw on occasion. It was great!

Despite the fact that we were the first ones in line to eat, we were ready to go after hamburgers, chips, potato salad, beans, drinks, and Creamies.

I was trying to keep a low profile and hangout with Camilla and Merv. I thought that would allow me to take it easy and spend my time visiting but it didn't work very well. It was not meant to be. But after the Bat, Cannibal, roller coaster, Re-entry, wild mouse, and Samurai, I was feeling my age. Linda and the kids did a lot more, multiple times, and so I was glad that I was able to as much as I did. We had a great time. It brought back memories of going to Lagoon with my parents and siblings when I was a small boy Good memories. Good times. Camilla is eight-and-a-half month pregnant, so she watched Merv, had fun with the family but avoided the rides.

​Per our tradition, we stopped at McDonald's on our way home for a snack.

So our party included dad and Mom, Camilla and Nick; Steven, Carly, and Merv; Amy and Nate; Chantelle and Bryce; Alyssa and Jer; Melanie, Emily, and Clam.We were having so much fun that we forgot to take too many pictures, but I have posted those we do have.

We rode until the very end. After the rides closed, we met at the local McDonalds (another tradition) for a snack of sorts. Then we commenced the long ride home. We dropped Clam and Emily off at Scheel's to get his car and ride home.
