I knew Marlon and Sharon while we were living in Anacortes Washington. They were both friendly and warm. Sharon worked in the stake public affairs and I served with her. Marlon built beautiful boats.
Marlon and his wife Sharon have six children. They are: Linda (Gordon) Wesemann of Salt Lake City, Utah; David Rowan of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; Marcia Rowan of Salmon, Idaho; Scott (Joleen) Rowan of Payson, Utah; Kris (Bill) Rowe of Billings, Mont.; and Shelly (Tom) Williams of Mount Vernon. They have 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Marlon is a retired oil jobber. He spent all his adult life playing piano in dance bands and night club combos and entertaining people with his endless repertoire. He served as the commodore of the Fidalgo Yacht Club and the couple are honorary life members. He was also commander of the local Coast Guard Auxiliary. The couple served several years together using their boat, Allegro II, for auxiliary patrols. He was a Skyline Beach Club board member for several years.
