Mother's Day

Watch You Be A Mother
Mom wanted to go up to Bridal Veil today. We were watching Ray, so Amy went with us, and we all had a delightful visit in the mountain air. Ray loved the experience and talked the whole time. We were all in our element.
We found a parking spot and began walking up the trail. The sun was shining and many others had come to enjoy this little hike as well. The Provo River ran fiercely on one side of us, and a small creek meandered down the other.

Ray was content with walking, and he crossed the bridges and hiked all the way to the bottom of the falls. At that point, he and Amy stepped down into the stream and rocks and began ascending the off-trail hike up the creek.

He would squint his eyes and pucker his little nose, the sun was so bright. Ray loved playing with Amy, and we all enjoyed watching him in his element. No doubt Ray loves the outdoors just like his mommy and daddy.

Grampa stayed in the background and just admired the happy laughs, chattering, and oohs and awes that were so prolific. Ray was always willing to extend his hand of friendship or climb into Grampa's arms. Everywhere we looked was stunning and beautiful. No wonder mom wanted to go to Bridal Veil Falls today.

Ray joined Amy to the base of the falls and started hiking up the rocks. Amy said he was determined to follow the others that were climbing all around him.

People have asked me what we will do during the millennium and in heaven. I have no doubt we will spend days like this with our children and grandchildren. This was a little piece of heaven on earth for me.

And as the grandchildren get bigger and begin new and exciting adventures, I have no doubt that we will enjoy with our posterity the happiness and goodness that accompanies them and their families.

That is exactly why families are forever.
