After hiking to the top of Mt. Timpanogos with some friends, they came down the mountain by sliding on sticks down the glaciers. She was daring! She loved the mountains. She loved horses and riding. She is pictured as a teenager wearing riding boots and jodhpurs. She was a good swimmer, too. She liked going out with friends. She would go to Brighton with her girl friends. In her day, a favorite place for young people to go was Saltair at the Great Salt Lake. That’s where she met grandpa.
