downstroke

1/8/2018

It's already the end of another transfer. I can't believe it! I will officially be on the downstroke and that's scary. What's also scary is that I'm probably getting transferred and who knows where! Honestly as long as I don't have to take a plane I will be good because if I do I am going to have to burn some stuff to get my bags underweight.

This week was just a really good week. We were able to meet with a lot of people! I don't have much time again now haha but this past Sunday in church I bore my testimony because I didn't know if it would be my last time doing it in this city. I have grown so close to this city because I have spent 3 transfers here, but it has also been in the later part of my mission and so I have been able to communicate and actually be my real self in Italian around these members and people and so I have grown the closest to them. I know that God places each of us right where we are for a reason and each of us has a mission and ruolo da svolgere! I know He loves us and does all He can to help us learn and grow and help others do the same. Love, Anziano Stucki.

Eatin' fufu with bengar soup. The fufu is that yellow stuff that you roll into a ball, dip in the soup, and then swallow whole without chewing. It is sooo good!

2. This is us (me and Anziano Trickett my scambio companion for our scambio in Messina) and we are sitting very comfortably in no other place than that of the front window on the second floor of a double decker bus where there's no better view in the whole bus. #HighLife

3. We did a district gift exchange. We pulled out names and then secretly bought gifts for whoever we picked. As luck would have it I picked my cousin, Anziano Anderson! You can't see it in this picture, but I thoughtfully selected and bought him a dark green stylish sweater that on the front had a penguin listening to headphones on it. Needless to say, he loved it! The present I recieved was that balloon thing with the rubberband attached to it that I'm holding. It's one of those where you holding the rubberband in your hand and then beat the balloon back and forth and it's makes that really cool sound that everyone loves...especially Anziano Compas. Between that and my singing, he has just about lost his head this transfer. Poor guy. □ That present was bought by the sister missionary who is closest to the camera and is the one taking the selfie. Si chiama Sorella Evertson.

That moment of failer when you recieve this text from your English course student and wonder if you've at least accomplished other things in your life besides teaching English. □ (he was giving us a ride and was trying to tell us to come down from our apartment to wait for him by the road)
