a most effective tool

Over the years, I have developed processes to make life and work better and more efficient. This readme file enumerates the functions of the job tracking database and outlines the current benefits of this tool to users.

This tool has been shared with many others free-of-charge and can help you too. It requires a little understanding of the cloud and spreadsheets but can be as simple or comprehensive as you wish. You decide. 

REQUIREMENTS:
In its current state, the job tracking tool requires a spreadsheet. It was created in Google Sheets and has also been tested with Excel, but it would certainly work with nearly any other spreadsheet as well.

This readme was written for the Google Sheets version. Nearly every breathing person has a gmail address and therefore access to Google Sheets, so it works for anyone.

BENEFITS:
1. Free .. job searchers may be in a financial crisis. This tool does not proliferate that
2. Effective .. arguably the most effect job search database out there
3. Customizable .. if you don’t like something, the entire database is customizable to your needs
4. Followup .. readily searchable for every contact, every date, every year in perpetuity
5. Trackable .. calculate daily 15-10-2 and log every detail desired e.g. text, graphic, videos
6. Mobile .. this tracking tool supports mobile interfaces and is effective on the road

FEATURES
1. Single line and multiple line entry as needed

4. Searchable .. CTRL+F will search the current spreadsheet; click the 3 dots from the Find window to search all sheets

16. Conditional formatting options e.g. when 4 is entered or calculated in column b, the cell turns red for followup

20. Supports Visual Studio scripts for increased functionality

22. Access can be granted by sharing the link to the google sheet

24. Google Sheets shows other people who are logged on to your tracker
25. Tracking calculators shown in colored cells can be modified or added for your particular situation
26. Use this tracker to collaborate with others and quickly resolve issues
27. When you open the sheet to automatically move from the top to the current date, select Go to Today link
28. Copying rows easily perpetuates the formulas; adding rows within a cell range updates the formulas automatically
29. Google sheets now offers tables features, which demonstrates the benefit of continuous development 
30. Use the tracker on mobile devices by entering verbal notes and using the mobile phone microphone for entering text

This list of features includes many key functions but is not comprehensive. Also, since new functions can be added and shared at your pleasure, this will be an ongoing project. One's imagination is the only limit.
