12/31 day 7 in Cancun - Wednesday
Got up at 5am to watch the sun rise. Took some great shots as the sun crested the horizon. I captured its brilliance as the sun broke through the clouds. Went fishing early with Camie and Nick. Nick caught three fish. I played in the many tide pools. Crabs, fish, shell creatures abounded. It was a good work out walking to-and-from the point.
Linda, Alyssa, Jerimiah, Melanie, and I continued to get pineapple juice mixers, candy, and Mexican Sweet bread. We bought corn at the corner and shared it on the bus. Mom held another for Steven. We got off the bus a little ways from Solymar. And now we are home playing games during our New Years Eve party. 2015 is only five hours away. Incredible.
When we got back home, Doris was serving breakfast. She serves us like kings and queens. She is a jewel, and her food is always scrumptious. We took it easy today in the morning but planned a trip to town for some supplies for our new years eve party. We all caught the bus to a large supermarket with multiple floors. Grandma came without her wheel chair today. When we arrived in the store we arranged for a push cart so gma could be seated as we strolled the store. We purchased plenty of mixes for non-alcoholic drinks Nick is going to mix for us this evening. We bought the groceries and split up so that some of the family could return home with gma and others continued on to Walmart.
We are playing games and watching the television new years celebrations. I got to be king in the game of scum. Firsttime ever. At midnight, we went out on the back deck by the ocean. The children ran down to the beach, and I got pans to bang together. At the stroke of midnight, fireworks exploded in every direction. There was quite a show. The news years celebration at the pool/bar continued as well. The family celebrated and now they are going to bed. It's 2015 and we have a ton to be grateful for. What an incredible year we have had and the upcoming year will be even better. Such has been true throughout my entire life.
