bountiful church HISTORY TOUR
Hi new friends!
I am beyond excited to go on this Church History Tour with you. There is nothing like being on the sacred sites of the Restoration and talking about the events that transpired as you stand on the ground where they happened. There is also something to being on site that helps you makes connections and understand more clearly—something to seeing places and touching the same ground and breathing the same air that brings it all to life. As a Church History and Doctrine professor I promise to share all I can about Church History to help you make some of these connections and hopefully increase your knowledge and faith.
One of the things you are going to love about being on a tour is the other tour members you get to experience this with. They may be your family members or friends. They may (currently) be strangers to you. But there is also something about sharing sacred space and experience with people that binds you with and to them. You will deepen and find new relationships on this tour, I am sure. I can’t wait to become friends with each of you. I am bringing one of my own children with me as my “assistant,” my 20 year old daughter Lauren. She is a fabulous girl and she is looking forward to this trip of a lifetime.
So, are you read to go the Sacred Grove, Hill Cumorah, Peter Whitmer home, Priesthood Restoration and Book of Mormon translation site, Kirtland Temple and Village, Independence, Liberty Jail, Adam Ondi Ahman, and Nauvoo? So am I. See you soon!d

This tour was like a trek back to the times of the Restoration. We visited many of the places where these miraculous experiences occurred. The Sacred Grove, Harmony, Palmyra, and Carthage. Vicariously, we experienced the miracle of the marvelous work and a wonder. None of us will ever be the same. Our tour educator was the renown BYU professor Anthony Sweat. And I got to do all this with my Sweetie.
