Its such a blessing to be in Korea and crazy how perfect this place is for me and my process of change. funny story: i try to smile all the time and i smiled and said hi to this old guy and he quickly asked me what why i was happy. we talked and they we took a picture and he was so happy haha he started showing everyone around us and had my face all framed and stuff haha we will meet him this wed so we will see how it goes haha. love you all so much. Read the scriptures :))) elder hunsaker Hello everyone,
Not a lot happened this week just staying on the grind and talking about the gospel. The cold weather doesnt help us out too much but we are finding ways to get peoples attention. We made a little happy/sad board and ask people how they feel and they put a sticker on the board haha they love it for some reason. Kinda sad how many people canceled on meeting us but its just so hard sometimes to stay positive especially when my comp gets pretty down about it. Love you all. Firm in Our Faith. Elder Hunsaker Hello, Great week, staying busy makes time seem to disappear. The lord blessed us with some warmer weather recently and its been so nice. The weather gets so dang cold somtimes. but its good for us haha. We had exchanged last wednesday for a day and i went with the DL Elder Brown. He really taught me a lot about changing and how its so important to forget about us and remember why we are here. We are teaching a mom and her son right now and they are doing amazing. but just wont come to church haha its almost funny how many excuses a korean can make in a second to get out of something haha. pray for us please. Last night we had a lesson with a less active member and he is the coolest guy. He was so strong in the church and really built his life around it growing up. He told us how strong he was but how it wasnt enough for the blows of satan and the worldly things. It was hard to hear that because it made me wonder how strong us a foundation do we really need to build in order to withstand the trials and blows of satan. He is doing great and knows what he has to do to get back in the church but is so scared to face his fam and take on satan again. We told him about Helaman 5;12 and told him how important our foundation is. maybe we will never face the blows of satan but dont take the chance, no matter what build that foundation in and on christ. love you all, Elder hunsaker HELLO HAPPY NEW YEAR
What a week. haha Korea is like a big freezer. Which makes it harder to talk to people on the street but somehow we always find atleast one person who whats to listen. The lord truly prepares people at the right time. last month i met a kid who was very rude to me and didnt want anything to do with church. Last monday night we ran into him and her remembered me and it was amazing how much his heart was changed, long story short we met with him last night again and he seems like a totally different person form before. Last saturday we went and taught a less active member. He was so awesome. He went to byu so he was really good at english so we all bonded quickly. haha he then bought us food and took us to a budhist temple haha. We went into the sacred room where they pray and he grabbed my camera and took a pic in there while this monk and lady where praying and the flash went off haha it might be the first flash photo in a budhist worship room lol. Potters clay, in Isaiah it talks about letting God mold you as a person. Too many times we feel like its up to us to choose who we want to become, when god is waiting for us to let him mold us. I promise he knows best and will perfect you. Love you all so much Elder Hunsaker |
