Hey everyone,
This past week we met 3 awesome people that became investigators. One of them is crazy good with guitar and so he showed us his skills and then after we all shared our conversion stories. It was so powerful to hear him share about the pure help that Jesus Christ can and wants to offer us. And then to met a man a few days later tell me that he is just believing in himself and thought he has to just do life alone. haha He seemed really shocked to hear that God is still with us and is giving us tools to find joy. I really am blessed to be here in Korea. During a time of hardship for the church here in Korea. I wouldnt want to be anywhere else. Even when i wonder if i am doing good here I always have to think about success and how the most success and change is won through the hardest of times. love you all and pray for you. Elder Hunsaker

This is his work. The Lords work. We are just his tools trying to be as sharp as we can so he can use us effectively. Last night we taught a lesson to a family about how we can sharpen ourselves through the simple tools we are given from God. Prayer, Scriptures, Church just to name the 3 basic ones. Its given me a whole different outlook if i see myself as just a tool god can use and how i can be sharp so when my time to be used has arrived I will be ready, but the time is now. We are all called to the work, called to change the world for the better and find the places that need a little bit of fixing. I promise if you set goals and put the work in to be "sharp" for the lord he will use us in the ways that he knows we can find success. Love you all. Keep fighting for the good cause and put the Lord first.
Elder Hunsaker This week was packed. Definitely the busiest week on the mission. We were running a couple times to get to different appointments and saw so many miracles that allowed the schedule to work out. Something I have been studying a lot is Faith and how to "draw on the powers of heaven" to see more and more success. The interesting thing so far to the studies is how important our mindset is and how huge of a factor our thoughts are. The Power of positive thinking and relying on Faith to help us see miracles is huge. There is a quote i think by David O. Mckay " tell me what you think about when you dont have to think and i will tell you who you are." Our thoughts control our desires and our desires control our character and our character controls our destiny. Its kinda deep and seems impossible to keep even our thoughts centered on god given goals that will maximize our full potential but i can promise you all it is worth it. Its really humbling to remember that metal and bronze can take us really far but the Lords help can mold us into the potential that God has for us.
Also got the transfer call and i will stay here and will serve with a Korean Elder!! so excited to learn the culture and use korean with him as much as possible. I heard he drove tanks in to army so hopefully he can whip me into shape. love you all and have the best week. Elder Hunsaker This week was really rocky. Monday night we had to run an elder in our house to the hospital. We all got so close but monday night he had a lot of stress and these that he wanted to be perfect at and because of that he had a mental breakdown or something and just shut down emotionally and would say random stuff and jsut wasnt there mentally. After a few days in the Hospital we got him safe and sound to american with his fam and he is in good hands. President sat us down and talked with us cause honestly it took a huge hit on us to see this work hurt our friend. but he really helped us see straight again and told us to calm down and take breaks and to relax. He talked about our personal meters and when we are about to over heat we need to recharge spiritually and physically. But now we are in a three some and its been good. We are teaching a lot and its been fun. Kinda scary for little Koreans on the street to see three white people but its fun haha. love you all. Keep the fire but always keep it under control. The Lord wants us happy and that only comes through the pure love of Christ with a clam mental state of mind so we can accept that love. haha so relax but work hard haha idk just balance. Elder Hunsaker Hey everyone,
This week was great lots of cool people, rain, and Elder Choi came. It was great to hear from another spiritual powerhouse this last week and feel that spiritual boost. He talked about a lot of stuff but what hit me the most was the Quote he shared by Sister Hinckley "obey today and understand tomorrow." We as humans want to know why in the very instant we are asked to do things. whether it it is sports of school or religion we are told to do stuff. So many hours i spent wondering why i am to do some things but the faster i just obeyed the quicker the result of obeying came and i was able to understand the 'why' much faster. I dont think obedience being the first law in Heaven is a coincidence. Start with obedience and everything else falls into place. Our missionary rule book is Korea is called the blessing book. Meaning as we obey we get blessing, and became more susceptible to the spirit. Love you all and pray for ya. Elder Hunsaker |
