Pretty good week. not a ton of time but heres some pics
“A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
This week was packed. We had a ton of meetings with people and investigators so it went by super fast. Some new things with tech have come to our mission and we have facebook and smart phones to help us spread the Gospel on more of a global level. It was weird at first but we have already done some lessons over face time and its been super successful. Its cool to see the trust the Lord has in us and build good habits with tech that will last a lifetime. I love you all and pray for ya. Have a great week.
So this week was good. Crazy cold a few of the days and i couldnt feel my knees but that just led to some people feeling bad for us and letting us in and giving us free gloves and drinks haha. The Koreans are the best. We had a really good week and found 4 solid people to teach. We met a crazy guy who was super drunk and was so happy to see us he was screaming as loud as he could and gave us huge hugs and was just so happy haha everyone was staring at us but honestly its much needed to meet people like that every once in a while to keep it interesting and fun haha. So yesterday before sacrament i was asked to fill in and give a talk on the spot for someone who didnt come so i was pretty stressed to get something together is the few minutes i had but it went good and i really could feel the spirit guiding me and helping me say what i needed to say. My comp is from iowa and so i talk to him about wrestling and all the history of wrestling in iowa but he just doesnt understand and makes fun of me because i like iowa even tho its got nothing there haha.
love you all and have a great week.
Love Elder Hunsaker
This week was good. Im still out in the same area which good but its been a long time and i love change and this area is a smaller one so i feel like i have been walking in circles haha but its cool and we have a lot of things going on so its been great. So my last comp moved to the place our investigator actually lives so it was such a miracle to easily transfer him to them up there so he can get to church faster and have a missionary that he knows up there. He is planned to be baptized in two weeks. My new comp is a fun guy and super nice. He really cares a lot about the work is a hard worker. We have made a goal as a house to only speak Korean until feb 14 so yeah haha i hope i dont go too crazy but it will be fun to push our Korean. Last night we met a guy that has a lot of potential and actually when to church a lot but moved and lost contact with missionaries so im excited to meet him and help him out as much as we can.
Something that really hit me from an email my uncle sent me was how the world wants everyone to think its okay to do this or that because its "normal" and what not but being normal is easy. Its way to easy to not care and have a dirty mouth or not care about our actions. There is nothing impressive about that. But as i have been out and talked with thousands of people there is a huge difference of respect and light that comes from people that have control of the natural man. Im convinced we are on this earth to learn how to be comfortable in Gods presence. That doesnt mean we have to throw our personalities away but it does mean we have to look at what we do and ask ourselves if we would feel comfortable living with God after doing that. It seems kinda hard and scary and impossible to really do that but thats why we have the atonement. We dont have to always be perfect but we have to always be actively exercising the atonement of Jesus Christ. love you all so much.
