Man... I don't think a lot of you understand the amount of joy that comes from doing the Lord's work every day. It's the greatest feeling to look back at a week well spent in service and have the spirit testify to you that this is His work. Oh how great is our calling! I say our because every member a missionary 😏 I have a testimony of D&C 18:15-16, there is more joy found in serving God than in any other work. It's a small taste of the fulness of joy that our Heavenly Father experiences as he "brings to pass the immortality and eternal life of" his posterity. I'm so grateful for the blessing it is to be able to be a tool in His hand to accomplish his work. If your having a hard time finding happiness in life, live and share the gospel. "and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." You are your first convert, so get converted, and share it with everyone. 😊 Alright there is my shpeal for the day The highlights of this week are as follows: 1) We got to blitz Port Arthur for 2 days and be on changes with those homies down there. Port Arthur is for the most part pretty ghetto. It's got a lot of homeless people and the downtown city is completely abandoned and rundown. So it was fun to be back in the streets and preach to our less fortunate bruddas. 2) Ive realized I must have some SWEET blood because these skeeters down here sure do love me. Hopefully I don't get Zika or something but man, if anyones got any tips or tricks on how not to be a 24 hour mosquito buffet than please let me know. 😩 3)Friday we got to go the temple and do baptisms for the dead with a returning member named Hans DeWitt and our recent convert Patrick Perera! It was so good, Patrick got baptized for his father and his grandpa and he felt really happy afterwards. He was also able to bless the sacrament for the first time this week which was legit. He only had to do it twice, even though he's not a very good reader. He's progressing so much in the gospel its ridiculous. The Lord knows exactly what he's doing. 4) To finish off the week we were able to go back to Silsbilly (Silsbee+hillbilly=Silsbilly) and I was able to perform the baptism for Sadie Musten! 😁After being found and taught for 4 months or so she finally was baptized a member this last Saturday and confirmed the day after. She is such a sweet girl, I hope she stays with it. Well everyone those are the highlights of the week. Miss you all and hope no one's house burns down back home Elder Robison
