Let's go over the highlights of this last week:
-i ate like 19 bananas and they are way cheap here -we had our first investigator baptism 🤽♂️ -we got to bike in heavy HEAVY rain -we met this young couple who are having a baby and want to be baptised! -I found a pristine ugly Christmas sweater at the thrift shop I think that about sums it up! Service is basically coming to an end in Broadway, it didn't get hit that bad and if they haven't been worked on by now then the houses need to be torn down because of mold. Crazy huh? Companion relations are kind of on the fritz right now, I'd say we were in defcon 3 as far as hostility goes. Elder Lyle is very very stressed about everything and he likes to complain and I like to make jokes and have fun so theres been some turmoil in this marriage but as the good book says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" so thats my problem free philosophy. Gerald got baptised! We had to jump through a lot of hoops to get him there but he did it! He snapped his patella tendon Friday an hour before his baptismal interview with the mission President, and he still came sweating bullets from all the pain he was in. He said, "oh this is more important but I'm going to the emergency room as soon as we are done" so that was crazy. Then when he got baptised I had to hold his leg in the water while brother Ferrin baptised him so that it didn't bend or anything. And the baptismal suit was too small for him but he squoze in it anyway for the baptism. What a trooper. So we've saved one soul so far! Biking has been pretty sucky I'm not gonna lie haha. It's still 90 degrees here and humid as can be so the freezing weather y'all are having in Payson sounds wonderful. One glorious day it decided to rain all day really hard and we HAD to get to the lesson with Gerald so we just sucked it up and biked there. We were soaked from head to toe during the lesson but it was all good until we started coming back home. The water at this point flooded up over the sidewalks so we couldn't see where we were biking and poor Elder Lyle was in the front and for some reason the sidewalk disappeared and he flew over his handle bars landing in the floodwater on his back. He was okay thankfully but he popped his front tube and bent the rim pretty bad so we had to wait for a ride because we were like 5 miles from our apartment. So that was good times We are starting to work with this nice Cuban guy and his girlfriend who are 9 months pregnant and just got kicked out of there place, which was a drug house, and are starting on the path towards eternal salvation! So that's exciting I'm sure you'll hear more about them. Well you are all great and I love and miss you all. Email me and send plenty of pictures! -Elder Robison
