Elder Wagner and I have really been seeing many small miracles add up to big ones. Yesterday in Church a random 30 year old man walked into church and all the bishopric motioned to us to go sit by him. By the end of church he had a Book of Mormon and a bunch of new friends from church. The man is awesome and we have an appointment with him this week to teach him more. He seems really interested. Our baptismal date holder is doing great. We had a member present with him last Saturday night and it went so good. He remembers every single detail from the Book of Mormon and LOVES IT. We also found a couple that are in there late twenties. The wife is crazy about the studying the pamphlets and talking about god. They both have been coming to family night as well. We also found two high schoolers that have some interest. Its just been super cool to see the Lords trust in us as we strive to be obedient. My comp and i have been having some fun as well and its been great. I have really been convinced that we control our day and we control the bad and the good days. Its not the things in our life that effect our mood but the outlook and attitude we put out toward the winds and waves of life. I really love Mosiah 2:41! its so true. Look to the happiest people {prophets and apostles} and follow them and the commandments of the Lord and you will start to see the small miracles turn into bigger and bigger ones. Love you all

Its been a good time here! We have been blessed so so much. We dont have a lot of time but the highlights of the week were.... finding 2 new people to teach, Elder Renlund coming to speak to the stake, meeting with and having family night with a less active family that lost their husband, living with 3 really fun elders that love to work hard, meeting a less active on the street that had no idea we had a church in the area, teaching a less active and getting his friends number and setting up some time to get food, bringing three people to see and meet an apostle, setting up a ton of good appointments this week with a 3 hour calling session, and getting three referrals from members that all seem really promising, and last but not least....seeing my beautiful mom and telling her happy mothers day. I love you mom so so much. Everything good i have done and all the good in my life i owe to you!!!!!!
love Elder Hunsaker THIS WAS A GOOD WEEK!! I feel like its just getting better and better out here. Never been happier. My stake president told me that if i would work as hard as i can for the Lord, then he will never let me get tired. I really testify that that is true. The Lord supports us and keeps us primed and ready to do his will.
So the big news this week is Gabriel! Hes doing so good. Its been amazing to see his change week to week. He accepted to be baptized June 24th and is all in! He came to church and the ward welcomed him in so well. Hes from Nigeria and they are all korean but with the little english they knew they all said hi to him. We have the best members in our church!! Its was super cool because i had to translate for him during all three hours of church and i promise that it was not me translating. The Lord helped me out so so much. The big moment of the week was with a man trying to quit drinking and was going off about how he needs to just gradually quit and had all these excuses. Well I was kinda sick of the half effort goals and stuff so we turned to alma 32 and read about faith and all the blessing he can be missing out on right now in his life. We talked about the priesthood and the blessing he could be to his children and his wife. We talked about the money he could save to support them better. We talked about his kids and how they look up to him and how he can be the big example. My comp looked a little unsure and might have been worried i was being to harsh but he broke down and his whole expression changed. He said he felt something new with us and decided to make some bigger goals to be baptized. Hes said hes determined to be that kind of father for his family and those around him. I know this church is true. It changes us into the best people we can be if we let it. It takes digging deep sometimes but its worth it. Also Lay got the gift of the HolyGhost!! so proud of that guy!! Love you all! Elder Hunsaker Dang this was a good week. Last monday we had a family night at a members house and brought 4 investigators. The members did a great job talking with them and fellow shipping them. We had a lot of success with Less actives this week. We get a group of 10 or so and travel to church together. For the first time, this week we had to schedule and plan a primary for all the kids that came. Its such a different feeling to have kids. They bring such a joy to church.
Yesterday we had Lays baptism. He did so good and was so happy. The light that came off of him after he was all cleaned up after the baptism was such a testimony builder that as we turn to Christ he will make us the best people we can be. Saturday was speacial. We had a much of amazing appointments come through as well as a family night we put on for a part member family. The goal was to just make them smile and feel God's love. They really had fun. I might have been a little too hyper but they loved it and I think it's what they needed haha. After the games and fun we shared about eternal families and how we can show our love to those around us. I was able to share a story about my mom and her 100 percent commitment to always making me feel so loved no matter how i acted. Love trumps all! No doubt about it. Its the cure to any missunderstanding or strife with someone. Romans 8-38 39 Also got another baptismal date for a man from Liberia. He's has been amazing. He is keeping all the commitments and really wants to work hard to get baptized. Oh and before I forget, I will move to Uijongbu 의정부 on wednesday. The area is huge. But to keep it even more crazy president told me to keep the last area as well and run both haha. That's three small branches to take care of and they all have many many needed that need to be kept up on at all times. It will be a good challenge. Love you all. Keep the flame and let the realization of the Gospel stick to your soul. Joshua 1:5 Love Elder Hunsaker Ps I need to find my usb thing before i can send pics but here's one from my phone This week was filled with so many miracles. We put a big focus on the members and less actives and made a goal to visit all of them this week. We wrote a bunch of notes to each member and through out the week we visited them and had the opportunity to give many blessing to members and less actives that had been hurt or sick and share our testimonies with them. We also met some people that were members but just hadnt know about a church in this area since they moved from Liberia. Another cool thing happened when we found a less active family with two boys that 3 and years old. The parents invited us in and we all taught the kids how to pray. It was so special. At first they didnt listen but they had this life size spider man and so i pretended to talk for him. As i held the spider man and had spider man direct them and teach them to pray they were super tentative and listened really well haha. Its so special to feel the spirit of the young children in our lives and learn from their pure hearts. This Wednesday our investigator Lay from Cambodia is getting interviewed and will be baptized with Sunday if it all works out well. So pray for him please. Love you all. Have a great week.
Elder Hunsaker I know i say this every week but this week was amazing haha. The Lords has continued to bless us and help us accomplish his work day in and day out. This week President told all the people training to focus on the online part of missionary work and at first i was like "pls no, i just want to be outside hitting the streets." But it turned out really well. As we were praying about who we wanted to message and stuff we began chatting with a man and made an appointment to meet that night. We met him and asked if he had any friends in the area. He said yes and so we called them up and invited them and another member friend. By the end of the night we had 6 people in this little sit down park learning about the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ. We also skyped a member in through facebook to help us teach and give testimony. It really was a testimony builder that the Lord is hastening his work in many ways and i just need to go into all the new ways to do missionary work with a soft heart expecting to see miricles.
This weekend we were also able to watch conference. I loved every bit of it. I cant explain how reassuring it is after a gerneral conference like that, that god is working through the leaders of our church. I love this Gospel with every inch of my soul and dont see that changing to anything. Helaman 5:12 love you all, Elder Hunsaker Hey Everyone! What a week. We were super busy and had so many miracle follow through. My new comp is awesome. Hes Korean and is a stud. Hes is super funny and has a great work ethic. I really wanted to put an extra emphasis on working until the last min. So we really put in the extra work and have been sleeping very nicely haha. Yesterday was Easter here in Korea and honestly when i walked out the door in the morning i was a little bummed not to see anything Easter themed or anyone talking about Easter. But it quickly changed at church with the branch and at the Church on the military base. It was great to hear the testimonies of members literally from all walks of life testifying about the same thing but with there own conviction. After church we had about 6 appointments stacked in a row and everyone was different so by the end of it my emotions were completely gone haha. It really takes a lot out of me emotionally every single lesson but it was cool to see the commonality with all the lessons being the Book of Mormon. We had one man getting pretty mad cause he thought that we liked to Book of Mormon more than the bible haha. We had to tell him over and over in different little ways that we dont just love the Book of Mormon and finally the thing that helped it click was by serving him and his family. I guess the big moral to that story was just not giving up the first time people tell you that you are wrong. Theres always a way to peoples hearts. Love you all so much. Elder Hunsaker Hey everyone, So we got the transfer call and it really blew us away. We thought for sure that we would both just stay up here together but my comp will be heading to the big city in Seoul and I will be getting another new missionary from either Korea or the USA. It will be exciting. I really enjoy training. It really puts a new pressure to be the best example and teach through actions. Aside from that we have another investigator getting baptized on April 29th. He is Cambodian and has changed 180 since we met him. He brings his friends to church and teachs them about the Gospel. It cool to see the true change in people and how that change motivates them to share this great message to our loved ones. I have one question for you all. Who are you waiting on? Who are you wishing would except the Gospel but hasnt yet? Well I promise that those thoughts are not a coincidence. You have the power and the tools to make yourself as sharp as you can so God can use you to help that person. And as you help them dont think in short terms or you will be disappointed. Think past this life, Think BIG. Just cause they dont receive it then and there doesn't mean they wont ever again. It might take years for that spark to turn into a fire that will change there life. Love you all. I pray for you all. Elder Hunsaker |
