This week was good. Im still out in the same area which good but its been a long time and i love change and this area is a smaller one so i feel like i have been walking in circles haha but its cool and we have a lot of things going on so its been great. So my last comp moved to the place our investigator actually lives so it was such a miracle to easily transfer him to them up there so he can get to church faster and have a missionary that he knows up there. He is planned to be baptized in two weeks. My new comp is a fun guy and super nice. He really cares a lot about the work is a hard worker. We have made a goal as a house to only speak Korean until feb 14 so yeah haha i hope i dont go too crazy but it will be fun to push our Korean. Last night we met a guy that has a lot of potential and actually when to church a lot but moved and lost contact with missionaries so im excited to meet him and help him out as much as we can.
Something that really hit me from an email my uncle sent me was how the world wants everyone to think its okay to do this or that because its "normal" and what not but being normal is easy. Its way to easy to not care and have a dirty mouth or not care about our actions. There is nothing impressive about that. But as i have been out and talked with thousands of people there is a huge difference of respect and light that comes from people that have control of the natural man. Im convinced we are on this earth to learn how to be comfortable in Gods presence. That doesnt mean we have to throw our personalities away but it does mean we have to look at what we do and ask ourselves if we would feel comfortable living with God after doing that. It seems kinda hard and scary and impossible to really do that but thats why we have the atonement. We dont have to always be perfect but we have to always be actively exercising the atonement of Jesus Christ. love you all so much. #masterthenaturalman Elder Hunsaker

Great time to be a missionary. This last week was spent very well. Last week on Christmas we had dinner at a members house with a nonmember family. We sang and played games and ended up having a really good talk about the church. The mom and us really got into it at the end and she was asking us lots of questions about the finding peace and how we are strong enough to always believe in God no matter what. It was humbling to see a woman with everything a person dreams about obtaining in life but still being dissatisfied and unsure about the future. We all shared very deep experiences that have really changed our lifes and brought us closer to God. We told her about how just like anything in life we have to work at our faith and practice being spiritual and coming closer to God and when we fall thats when we need him most. She was really grateful and accepted a book of mormon.
This morning was fun. We went to the mtn and hiked to see the new year sunrise. It was super fun and the best part was being with the ward and sharing these memories with them. I love this Gospel and I know its true. Not a doubt in my mind. I have been told hundreds of times about what people think of this church and rejected about a thousand more times but that doesnt change anything. I am firm on my foundation and building on a rock. helaman 5:12 love you all, elder Hunsaker Merry Christmas from Seoul!
Its been a good time in Korea. I cant believe this is the last Christmas with the Korean people as a missionary but it really ended with a bang. We had the Christmas party on Saturday and it was so fun haha. We put on a play (scrooge) and the men in the ward did a play about Simon and totally killed it haha. I dont think i can look at them the same way ever again haha. We had 2 investigators come and they both really liked it. Also we had a dinner with a member or investigator every day this last week so that was cool too. Its just been a good time here. I love this season and the way it brings people together. And at the center of it all is Jesus Christ. I hope you all are remembering the real meaning of Christmas and how simple this Gospel is. Dont complicate it :) love you all love, Elder Hunsaker This week was good. Its snowing rn so it should be a white christmas!! super pumped. Dont have a lot of time but this week was good. the guy that smoked has quit and has a baptismal date now. Met a couple from the phillipines and they happened to be members so we helped them find our church and it was just the best. They were so happy. The dont speak korean so i had to translate sacrament for them which was stressful but they loved it and were so grateful to take the sacrament. love you all. Have a good Christmas!!
So this week was pretty good. Had a great interview last week with my mission president and let me tell you he is the best in the world. He is everything i want to be as a father, leader, husband, and person. He has really helped me out a lot. We are still working with one of our investigators to quit smoking so he can get baptized. so if any one has any ideas they would help him quit smoking let me know plz. I have really been focusing on maximizing my time in every single way so i have put this big alarm system together and its been so cool to see how much more i can actually get done. although the other elders want to blow up my phone cause its annoying it has really been fun to see how much more i can get done. And honestly i am so much happier haha. Just knowing that the time is never being wasted is a dang good feeling. so if you want more details on that and how i set the alarms and stuff let me know. Christmas!!!!! is good to be a missionary at this time. Inviting is what its all about and so we have just been pushing this "light the world" campaign like crazy and its been paying off. In Korea the churchs are all rated and the the big rich churchs control it so online we are labeled as a cult and so people just know us as that most of the time but after a good conversation or just passing by us people say all the time how it doesnt seem like we are a cult or false haha. Just having fun over here and enjoying it all. As Elder Bednar says " just be a good boy and a good girl and the spirit will guide you and you wont even know it sometimes until after.
love you all. have the best week. Elder Hunsaker Another week in the land of Korea. Its a good time to be a missionary. We have a really good set of guys in the house and we all get along pretty good. The other day we got a new box of 40 books and i was like guys i dont want to carry this home and so to finish the night we gave them all out. It was cool to see the faith of the other elders on the coldest night working to complete our goal of giving all the books out. I promise The Lord sees our effort and is willing to see what we are actually willing to do to get some miracles. Faith is Acting. And acting is our testimony to the Lord.
yesterday we had a member present with the old mission president that is in our ward and it was so cool to see him teach. I related it to watching the dream team pass the ball and make plays. He was so calm and only said like 20 words he let the scriptures speak for him and it worked so well. I was almost crying watching this member teach. Super cool stuff. love you all, God bless. -----Elder Hunsaker So this week was great. Very busy with putting on a halloween party for the ward and it was a huge success. our team had 6 investigators come and the other teams had a few come as well so it was great. After the ward like made us stand in the front and clapped for us haha kinda weird but whatever the ward wants i guess haha. We also had a miracle last night with guy that was supposed to be baptized that fell off the earth finally reach out to us again and wants to start progressing again. Super happy for him. Also had a baptism yesterday with a family and her dad was a member and was able to baptize his little girl and invited us to stand in on the confirmation. Oh what a blessing it is to have the Holy Ghost.
So I was talking to this super amazing person and she really helped me with the title of this email. Success in the Invitation! Its so so true. I have wondered about how to measure success and how i can feel like the good we do out here is not a lost cause sometimes. But it really comes down to the opportunity that we give people. We cant force people and the spirit cant do that either. All we have to do is make sure we invite. Because thats all we can do. We can bring the spirit right up to their hearts but we cant force them to take it and God knows that. So invite all that you know, member or non member. love you all, Elder Hunsaker I dont have a lot of time but i love you all! happy halloween. Korea doesnt celebrate it but yeah its all good. Keep working hard and follow the gospel and your life will only be happier. Love you all Elder Hunsaker
